Foam Sheets: Do You Need Food Grade Foam?
What does Food and Foam have to do with each other?
Imagine yourself at a grocery store... where would you find foam sheets with food? How about the Fresh Meat section, at the bottom of beef & chicken containers or how about with fresh fruit or even inside a chocolate box of treats?
The list goes on but we want to make sure you are using the right foam to make your products safe! Food grade foam is a material that is reliable, U.S. FDA compliant & consistent in performance. This superior foam food packaging material is for those food grade products that require light cushioning, surface protection and product immobilization.
Food Grade MicroFoam:
- Micro Foam is roughly half the density of Polyethylene and much easier to handle.
- Ease of Handling & light weight which leads to a cost effective shipment.
- Lowers product movement and risk damage during the shipping process.
- Has better breathable characteristics than the standard Polyethylene Foam.
- High melting point allows Micro foam to perform reliably from -250 degrees F up to 250 degrees F with a melting point of 320 degrees F.
This Foam can be made into sheets, pouches, tubing, and we also have the ability to laminate to films.

Benefits of Food Grade Micro Foam:
- * Non-Toxic & Non-Abrasive
- * Good Quality & Light weight
- * Low coefficient of Friction
- * Cost Effective

Micro Foam has great cushioning properties that can even work well with something as fragile as glass. It will not hurt or tarnish sensitive metals, will not scratch but will cling to an object to make it easy to apply protection to smooth and polished objects. It protects against mold, mildew, moisture and fungus, which is ideal for live plants, fruit and vegetables.
